Aid for your Pimple Woes

Alright, how many of you have picked a pimple here and there? We all know it's bad and that it leads to scars and even bigger pimples, but we can't help but pick sometimes. Am I right? I mean I'm tempted all the time and sometimes I do. But it really isn't good for your skin and I seriously reap the consequences when I do...all these dark spots and what not. It's NOT a pretty sight. Anyway, try not to pick if you have a pimple. Know that EVERYONE gets one at some point or another and it's go away eventually. In the event you can't wait, though here are some helpful remedies that will reduce some of your pimple woes. (To read the remainder of this post, please click the "read more" link below.)

If you HAVE picked a pimple, try putting some Neosporin on top of it at night. Buy it in the CREAM formula though. This kind is white and looks paste-like rather than the ointment formula that is clear and oily. It will reduce the redness and help prevent bacteria growth in the area. Repeat this step 3-4 times.

If you have a red pimple and have NOT picked it yet, to reduce the redness of the pimple apply 3-4 drops of any type of "redness relief" eye drop. This will help take the redness away and make it less noticeable which will hopefully make you less likely to pick it. This step alone won't get rid of the pimple, but if you apply salicylic acid, retinol, or benzoyl peroxide cream on top of it after the eye drops dry, your pimple will go away quicker. Again, repeat this process several times for the best results.

If you have large areas that are inflamed due to acne, it doesn't matter if it's pre or post pimple outbreaks, purchase some organic honey and use it as a mask. Leave it on for about 30 mins or so then wash off with warm water. The honey will help alleviate your inflammation because it's a natural bacteria fighting agent. So go ahead and try it out. What do you have to lose? Just make sure you rinse it all off at the end, otherwise you'll get honey everywhere!

Like to eat strawberries? Hate pimples? What do these two have in common? Well...if you read my older beauty post that had a link to cheap beauty fixes you would know. However, if you weren't able to catch that post, I'll tell you. Strawberries naturally contain salicylic acid, yes the stuff that is in acne creams! So...if you simple buy a few strawberries, mash it up in a plastic ziplock bag and then mix it with organic yogurt and apply to your face you'll be reducing your pimples! How cool is that?!
