Review: St. Ives apricot exfoliator has always been one of my must-have skin products. Not only is this exfoliator super cheap but it also truly works.  The picture shown is the original formula. The original formula is super gritty and feels like rough sandpaper on your face, no joke. It is not for the delicate or thin-skinned as it can hurt. The first time I tried this product, I thought it was ridiculous because I’d never used any exfoliator that had this type of intensity. It smells good overall, like apricots, and is very effective at removing dead skin cells from the face. It does leave the face taut and a little dry afterwards, but it’s nothing that a little moisturizer can’t fix. I’d recommend using this product maybe 1 or 2 times a week for first-time users. Exfoliators, in general, are not recommended to be used everyday but everyone knows their skin best so I’ll leave that up to you guys to decide how often.  Also note that usage of this product could cause flakey skin. For the ladies worried about make-up application, I’d say use it at night and a few days before you’re going out to make sure the peeled skin, if it does occur, doesn’t interfere with makeup application. After using this product for a while, you should see brighter, smoother skin. Personally, I follow the exfoliating process with a good oil-free moisturizer to balance out the dryness and roughness on the skin.

*Always remember to follow the directions on the package/back of the product for best results and proper application/usage.
